3. Quotes, Pricing, and Payments
3.1 Quotes
All quotes provided via our website, WhatsApp, phone, email, or Shopify store are estimates unless expressly stated as fixed. Final charges may vary based on actual services rendered.
3.2 Pricing
Prices are listed in Kenyan Shillings (KES) unless otherwise stated and may be subject to change without prior notice. Any additional services requested on-site will attract extra charges.
3.3 Payments
Payment methods accepted include mobile money (e.g., M-Pesa), bank transfer, cash, or other methods displayed on our Shopify store. Full or partial payment may be required before or upon completion of the move.
Failure to make payment may result in withholding of goods, cancellation of services, or additional fees as permitted by law.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service may be eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee.
- We reserve the right to reschedule services due to weather conditions, vehicle breakdowns, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
5. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Declare all items to be moved accurately
- Ensure safe and legal access to pickup and delivery locations
- Remove or declare fragile, high-value, or prohibited items
- Be present or represented during loading and offloading
You are responsible for securing personal documents, cash, jewelry, electronics, and other valuables. We strongly advise transporting such items personally.
6. Prohibited and Restricted Items
We do not transport:
- Illegal goods
- Hazardous or flammable materials
- Firearms, ammunition, or explosives
- Perishable food items (unless agreed in writing)
We reserve the right to refuse or stop services if prohibited items are discovered.
7. Loss, Damage, and Liability
While we take reasonable care in handling your items, Affordable Movers Nairobi’s liability is limited as follows:
- We are not liable for damage to items improperly packed by the customer.
- We are not responsible for normal wear and tear.
- Liability for loss or damage, where applicable, is limited to the declared value of items or as required under Kenyan law.
Claims for loss or damage must be reported within 48 hours of service completion, along with supporting evidence.
8. Insurance
Unless expressly stated in writing, our Services do not include comprehensive insurance coverage. Customers are encouraged to obtain their own insurance for high-value or sensitive items.
9. Delays and Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to traffic conditions, accidents, strikes, acts of God, government actions, or civil unrest.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on our website and Shopify store, including logos, text, images, and branding, is the property of Affordable Movers Nairobi and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without prior written consent.
11. Privacy
Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with applicable Kenyan data protection laws.
12. Limitation of Liability
